OmniSTAR Subscription Activation Setup

TRIMBLE PRO XRS with TSC1 Data Collector.

Nav. version 1.21 and higher

Select Configuration from the Main menu on the TSC1.
Press ENTER key.
Select Communications options from the Configuration menu.
Press ENTER key.
Select Real-time input options from the Communication options menu.
Press ENTER key.
Press F1, the DGPS softkey.
Change the following fields to read:
Source: Satellite
Service provider: Omnistar
Satellite: Choose a satellite that covers your area (See Satellite Chart)
Frequency: This will list the frequency of the DGPS satellite you specified in the satellite field.
Data rate: This should update to the Data Rate of the satellite you specified in the satellite field.

OmniStar MUST NOW SEND AN ACTIVATION CODE (RSOC-Type) OVER THE SATELLITE . IT CAN TAKE UP TO 30 MINUTES FOR ACTIVATION TO BE COMPLETE. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE SYSTEM BE LEFT "ON" UNTIL THE RECEIVER POSITIONS DIFFERENTIALLY.

To Check DGPS Status

Choose Receiver Status from the Main menu.
Press ENTER key.
Press F1 for DGPS status from the Receiver Status menu.
