- Did you receive a subscription code over the satellite?
When you receive a code, it will reset the receiver within
seconds. Watch the number of sv's. It will drop to 0 and
then count back up when it resets.
- Check your DGPS status page. Make sure it shows a status
of LOCK. Check the frequency, data rate, snr, and last
RTCM.
- Check the Auto Shutoff for the data collector. It defaults
to 20 minutes. Our activation can take up to 30 minutes
and the unit must remain on during this time. Change this
in Hardware Configuration.
- If you received a Code for manual entry, ask OmniSTAR
to try sending a code over the satellite
- Sometimes the unit gets stuck in checking activation.
Turn the unit off and back on again. It still could take
up to 30 minutes to activate.
- If all else fails, reset the unit to factory defaults
and start all over. You can find this reset under the
Utilities menu.
- If you are using a satellite with a baud rate of 2400
and it will not lock, check the DGPS status and make sure
it says 2400. If not, use the Custom Satellite setting
and input the frequency and baud rate.
