Decatur, IL - August 30, 2005 - OmniSTAR, Inc. today introduced a new low-cost, high accuracy positioning service - OmniSTAR XP. A Differential GPS Positioning service capable of providing the user with horizontal positioning consistently better than +/- 6 inches virtually world-wide. The XP service is an addition to OmniSTAR's well-proven sub-meter 'VBS' and very high accuracy 'HP' services

The XP Service provides an additional option for differential corrections, allowing the user to select exactly the right level of accuracy for specific applications. By acquiring an XP capable receiver, users of the traditional single frequency OmniSTAR VBS (Virtual Base Station) service will be able to upgrade to XP and also have access to the very high accuracy of the OmniSTAR HP (High Performance) service.

The common ground for HP and XP is in the Omnistar user software, referred to as the positioning engine. OmniSTAR's software has superior processing algorithms that achieve a higher level of accuracy from the same quantity of information as competitive systems. This software can run with any of a variety of Omnistar data sources, allowing us to offer HP and XP today, and new products in the future.
